Hinesburg Record Story Recording Project

  • Carpenter-Carse Library 69 Ballards Corner Road Hinesburg, VT, 05461 United States (map)

Chelsea Burton and Geoffrey Gevalt of the Hinesburg Record will be on hand to record you telling a story about a memorable photo you have. All ages welcome. Photo can be recent or from long ago or an heirloom picture of a person, place or event. The aim is for you tell a memorable story -- funny or sad or transformational or just plain interesting -- centered on a photo. BRING the photo with you and if it's a printed copy, it will be scanned and returned to you. We will record your telling of the story and, later, edit it, create a transcription and send it back to you for review. Finished stories will be published in The Record (transcript) and on The Record's website, https://hinesburgrecord.org, (audio and transcript).
This is a fun exercise and we hope that as many people can come as possible. Please contact Geoff at ggevalt@gmail.com to let him know you'll attend.
