Yes, we lend bicycles!

A valid Carpenter-Carse Library card with no outstanding or overdue items is required to borrow a bicycle. Borrowers must be 18 years old or older, and must sign a copy of the Library of Things (LOT) Lending Agreement, a hard copy of which is available at our circulation desk. A $25 refundable security deposit is due at check out.  Borrowers are required to check out and return bicycles by visiting the circulation desk. 

LOAN PERIOD

A bicycle may be borrowed for 1 week intervals and renewed one time unless another borrower is waiting.  Late fees will be assessed at $20 per day. Bicycles come with a helmet and a repair kit, which also need to be returned to the library at the end of the lending period.
