on earth day (april 22, 2022) we dedicated our bicycle repair station to stephen “spike” clayton

The Charlotte-Shelburne-Hinesburg Rotary Club along with friends and community members dedicated this DERO bike repair station and air pump in memory of Stephen “Spike” Haskew Clayton who passed away in 2019.  A Hinesburg resident, Spike was an avid cyclist, skier, businessman – always one to share his passions with others.  

It gives us great pleasure to share the DERO bike repair station as a community resource, it is installed outside the library and is available for all wheeled devices in need of air or repair.

There are three other DERO stations located in neighboring towns,  Shelburne and Charlotte- also dedicated  in memory of beloved cyclists.  Board member Katherine Kjelleren & her son Thomas Clayton helped cut the ribbon to inaugurate the new repair station.
