They are a nonprofit platform with the goals of providing equitable access to digital content, protecting patron privacy, and boosting the relationship between libraries and their patrons.

The Palace Project is a division of Lyrasis that partners with the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA). They are funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
