Children of all ages and their parents are invited to join us for this fun and interactive event with long-time performer and musician, Ed Morgan, also known simply as “The Music Man.” For over ten years Ed has delighted audiences of kids and grownups with his interactive blend of traditional and family songs!  After school LEGO Club is back! Students in grades K-4 are invited to sign up for this fun and educational program that will happen every Wednesday 2:15 - 3:15 PM from April 17th through May 29th (no LEGO Club during April Break). Students have the choice every week to work on their own or with others on weekly challenges or their own creations. Adults and families with children of all ages are invited to join us at the library two days before the solar eclipse to learn more about the solar eclipse with an educator from the Vermont Astronomical Society! Participants can find out how and where to safely view the eclipse on April 8th and pick up solar eclipse viewing glasses or make your own indirect solar viewing masks. This is a book club for students who would like an opportunity to read and discuss books that are past or current Golden Dome Book Award nominees or winners. This group meets at the library once a month and will vote on which Golden Dome book to read next. Book Club is for anyone who is reading mid-grade books, which is generally students who are in the 9-12 y.o. age range. If you’re interested in joining this group, contact jen@carpentercarse.org.

From 12:00 to 3:00 PM on Friday, March 1st the community room will be open to LEGO fans of all ages and their caregivers. So plan to drop in for LEGO free play time and enjoy using the library’s gigantic collection of bricks, wheels, characters, and building plates!

Avoid the cabin fever during February Break by getting into your best golfing gear and joining us at the library on Wednesday, February 28th at 1:00-4:00 PM where the whole place will be transformed into a 9-hole mini indoor golf course! Stop by and play a round with your friends and family and earn a special treat for finishing all nine holes.
