Jeh Kulu Dance and Drum Theater offers lively, interactive dance workshops accompanied by live drummers which are suitable for all ages. Featuring traditional dance from Guinea, Mali and Senegal, Jeh Kulu master artists expose the class participants to culture, rhythm and traditional movement. Class participants will learn how to communicate with the drummers by recognizing drum calls and will learn a series of steps to a traditional dance.
Ages 5-10, sign up is required and registration will open May 29.
Geology ROCKS! Spend some time with Audubon Vermont and investigate the world of rocks. Your time will be used to explore 3 different types of rocks through crafts, interactive activities, experiments, and games. We will enjoy an education treat and a story. At the end everyone will be able to take home a pet rock!

Why do owls hoot? What are those hawks talking about? How do scientists find out what birds are saying? Join Vermont Institute of Natural Science this summer at your library and meet some of these talkative hawks, falcons, and owls up close! We’ll practice identifying raptors by their calls, learn what these vocalizations might mean, and how they are made. You’ve never heard bird song like this.

Come kick off this year’s summer reading and celebrate the solstice with us. This is a family event, all ages are welcome and children must be accompanied by an adult.
We’ll plant flowers, make musical instruments and listen to live music. Children can sign up for Summer Reading Programs, and work on building musical instruments. We’ll plant flowers, eat pizza from NOFA-VT's Mobile Pizza Oven, and listen to live music by the American duet Mayfly!
